Does it point to the right database?
Are your variable to input parameters mapping...

I am questioning the entire methodology. It sounds like the only difference is the connection string and the packages are being called from SQL Agent.

I would say yes. SSIS will be faster for most data movement tasks. It was built for that. I would be willing to bet money you can't...

I generally agree with da-zero. Packages should be designed in such a way that they work in ALL environments. This is usually handled by config tables or files....

There are substantially better ways to accomplish the goal. Can I ask how the packages are called? SQL Agent perhaps?
