    Also has more or less similar problem where the issue was not even the backup but the log file.

    We couldn';t backup the log file and it was increasing at least...

    I have tried what Reecha Mishra has advised as per above with no joy, is there anything that I am missing.

    I'll also add on by saying that the qry will run till you add the "commit tran"

    statement at the end of the 1st qry
