Anyone seen the OP since this morning?

Forget it ... we know the answer is that it is probably in GB .... or who knows if...

If you wanted to be evil, you could wrap Wayne's elegant code in a cursor, lob the grenade into a forum, and watch everyone duck for cover.

    That...

Makes you wonder... Here, the OP (with 1800+ points) can't pull apart two simple nested cursors with 5 subqueries in that last nest into some reasonable code....

Plus, considering some people change thier screen names on a regular basis, attributing the code to '.' may not mean anything unless you happen to know who that...

I went back and looked at the wording in Jeff's draft. The issue there is that many of us borrow code for others...

But auto-spawning? Uncontrolled user spawning? I will have nightmares tonight about that one.

MS CRM is one such application that does this. It permits end users to create new organizations (it can also be scheduled to do it automatically)...

Our trouble is that we have a application witch generates a lot ammount of databases. We are now past about 2700 databases.

    Please tell me what this...

I hope the OP returns to clarify the situation. Perhaps he will when he has finished lugging the backup tapes onto the truck...

I don't envy the person who backs...

I really doubt there is an 800 TB database being managed by someone who has to ask questions here about how to do backups.

    Good point.
