I second Lynn. I prefer to use NT users and Groups when possible.

I would rather set the fillfactor on a per index basis and not have one setting apply to them all.

Just a reminder that using DISTINCT often times is masking a bigger issue. Perhaps if you provided sample data and sample tables with your sample query, a better solution...
