I implemented SP4 on all our test servers about a month ago & beginning of last week, I deployed the SP on the production boxes, all of them AWE enabled....

Nope!! Tried to run the same query on 4 different servers, still got the same error...

In Enterprise Manager the linked servers looks fine & you can view the tables &...

I don't think it's a stored procedure that SQL is looking for...

Even if you do a simple query like

"Select top 1 * from server.Northwind.dbo.table"

You get the exact same error...

The message when trying to restore or attach is...

"Error 1807: Could not obtain exclusive lock on database "MODEL". Retry the operation later"

I moved my model db to another drive. Did set the startup parameters, moved the database & restarted the server & everything worked 100% until...

Try to attach it, no luck...

Just tried it, same error...

I picked something up, it dissapeared from sysdatabases as well...
