Hi Chandan Shukla,

Thanks for your article. I've tried it out but did not get the expected result.

I do not get any performance difference after the alter table (persisted computed column) + index creation.

When looking closer it seems SQL Server keeps using a scalar even if the value is persisted.

Sorry for seeing your message late.. as I did not got any notification on email..

What is your system cpu? And which sql server version you are using..

This should be having enough cores to enforce CX waits for parallelism..
