To track downtime of SQL server

    HI,

    I would like to know if anyone has tried to track the downtime of SQL server. If you have any ideas please let me know. Basically i am trying to create a job to track the downtime.

    Yes my management needs to know how long the SQL server is down for a year/month.

    So we need to find out the total uptime and total downtime of the server.
