Server is unavailable. After attempted restart Confg manager reports change pending.
Are the databases recovering? What should I look at?
Help if you can.

Last entry in error log. Login failed for user x. Only administrators may connect at this time

I ended up doing a reboot and everything came back up clean. I'll review the logs and post again if there is anything interesting.

Thank you for your offer. This looks like the relevant part of the log.
When I rebooted the server it went down quickly and also came back up quickly but I could not get SQL Server responsive through the configuration manager.
If there is anything else I can provide please let me know.
A cancelled query may have been the precipitating event. Or it was coincidental.
