RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

    Thanks all sorted now !

This code is for an ASP.net project, data input comes from 3 textboxes that will out put a string each.

Ok... first, it's a two way street here. Please post your final code so that others may enjoy your solution.

Second, since this is coming from a GUI, the GUI should pass it in the correct order instead of doing it in SQL. 😉

I suspect that we may be looking at SSRS here.

    Life of Brain ! ( I am kidding )..

A little humor helps a bit...

With that, though, Jeff really wasn't kidding when he asked you to post your final code. It is good forum etiquette to post your solution. As he said, others may have a similar problem or issue and seeing your code can be a benefit.

  • Where'd Digs go? He owes us a post with his solution...

I havent built it yet. Because what comes first the chicken or the egg,...

By the way... the answer to that question is the "egg" because a chicken can only be a chicken... depending on conditions, an egg can be anything.

Ok... it's been a couple of days. First things first... do you like pork chops? Next, have you ever been through being black-balled before 'cuz I'm thinking you're pretty close to making that list.

    Think about it... 😉
