Experts,
We are facing an issue with one of the replication subscriber.
There were already two subscribers and replication is working fine since long time for both.
Recently added one more subscriber and while configuring replication we are getting the below error.
TCP Provider: The semaphore timeout period has expired.
This error occurs with ONLY one simple procedure. It doesn't query any table or anything, it just execute some command with "xp_cmdshell" and nothing else.
If we remove this sproc from publication, replication works just fine. Some of the tables are really large with millions of records.
Everything works just fine if we just exclude this simple sproc, which basically has only xp_cmdshell command.
All the servers has SQL Server 2016 - Std.
Only difference is new subscriber has Windows 2016 Datacenter edition where as other servers have Windows 2016 standard.
Can someone please help on this ?. Thanks in advance.
