Reading File attributes (datecreated,datemodified....) using sp_OACreate....

  • So, how did things turn out?

First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

  • I have created an account on these forums just to let you know how awesome you are Jeff.

Thank you for the code, not only does it work great, but it's very easy to understand and I've learned a lot from it.

  • Great Store Proc !!!

It will help me a lot.

Now, I have to access a shared drive.... not a local drive and (of course) this is not working....

    Any help would be usefull.

    Tks

Oh my. I'm truly embarassed. I lost track of this thread and didn't see your wonderful comment. My apologies and thank you very much. It's probably a whole lot too late but welcome aboard.

Did you setup an actual "share" for this? IIRC, the share must be setup where the login name for the SQL Service can actually see the share.

My recommendation at this point would be to start a new thread that more people will see so you can get a better answer than my humble reply. You should also post the code that is "not working" and be a bit more descriptive as to what the symptoms of "not working" are. 🙂

Haha, it's ok, thank you. I've enjoyed my time here so far.
