  • It is my fault. I was deleting SPAM and hit the wrong thread. I've sent an email to the WebMaster asking if he could undelete it.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

ok...but, if you have permission to delete, then why not permission to undelete?

You know, that's a good point. Perhaps that's SSMS-only functionality that isn't exposed in the interface?

  • The original post appears to be back, but the reply I had already posted is still missing. And so are the two replies posted later (that I did get email notification of but that I never saw).

I hope someone can restore those too. I need to get some sleep, early day tomorrow, so I cannot re-do my earlier reply.
