Performance Dashboards

  • Hi Guys,

Just would like to ask some advice from the experts.

I want to create Performance DashBoards by using Reporting Services.

Can this be done? If so, can you please explain step-by-step.

    Regards

    Imke

  • I dont know how can any one explain you about designing dashboard step by step. It is like home work. You can surely design performance dashboard. In fact it is the best use of RS to show performance of organization or department etc. Every one have different kind of requirement and design so it will start from your requirement and kind of design you are looking for. If you need really flashy kind of dashboard then you might use DUNDAS CHART. It is plug in.

  • You can do this in 2005 but doesn't look as good as dundas, but at least its free, done in a similar way to conditional formating, you would have pictures (lets say a traffic light system - showing either red amber or green) and using an if statement in the field get a amber to show, or red when performance slips...

Another way to do this is to include a hyperlink to the image. The URL of the hyperlink can be an expression controlled by the data in your report.

    See these pages for examples..

  • Hi, I don't know if this topic is still relevant to you or not, but I am currently undertaking the same exploration with my company and I am currently looking at several different approaches. I would love to hear what you discovered and also willing to share back with you my journey so far. Would this still be of interest?
