Pbm with mirroring

  Dear All,

  I have following queries regarding mirroring.

  1. Does the servers need to be in DOMAIN (It insists for Fully qualified name with domain).

  2. If it's not necessary how to configur it.

  Alsi when I configured mirroring with 2 servers in 2 diff domains am getting "ERROR 1418.". Msg is something like " Cannot connect to mirror server or it does not exist."

  Please help.

  I am trying to implement log shipping since mirroring seems to be bit complicated. (I dont need automatic failover..)

  Please advice.

  To implement mirroring across the domain , you need to make domain trustable (using certificates)
