Oracel Merge Function in SQL Server?

    Hey gang,

    I keep hearing from my Oracle colleges about the MERGE function in Oracle,

    how much it simplifies loading data for them since it apparently checks for new/existing rows and does the insert, update, delete logic automatically.

    Do we have anything like that in TSQL?

    or maybe SSIS?

    (in which case I apologize in advance for posting in the wrong forum but I had to pick one.)

    It is available in SQL Server 2008, but not in 2005.

    Guess we're stuck with the "it'll run forever" WHERE NOT EXISTS clause.
