My assumption is no, but I'll ask anyway... Will this migrate data driven subscriptions? Also, does this migrate the report server execution log (containing historical run information)? Regardless, this may be very useful to me. Thanks! 🙂

Currently, it does not migrate data driven subscriptions and also the report execution logs.

Hi - just a thought - now that SQL Server 2025 Standard Edition will allow for on-premises Power BI Report Server installation (see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/reporting-services-consolidation-faq) , it seems like a good idea to clarify whether this would work if the target report server is PBI rather than SSRS and also just confirm that the versions of the source and target server are different.
I can see a lot of folks who use Standard Edition wanting to migrate between, say, a 2022 SSRS instance to an on-prem 2025 PBIRS instance.
The other clarification/concern I have is that you don't mention SharePoint-integrated mode and whether this presents any particular challenges. I don't personally use SharePoint-integrated mode for *any* SSRS installation, and haven't seen anybody do it! but Microsoft still seems to be believe this is thing.

Hi, Great question — and thanks for bringing this up!
Yes, the SSRS Reports Migration Wizard does support Power BI Report Server (PBIRS) as both source and target environments. However, it’s important to note that the tool only migrates traditional SSRS items; reports (.rdl), shared datasets, data sources, and subscriptions, etc. It does not migrate Power BI reports (.pbix files) since those are handled differently within PBIRS.
So in your example, migrating from a SQL Server 2022 SSRS instance to an on-prem 2025 PBIRS instance - that scenario is fully supported for all SSRS artifacts, as long as both environments are accessible via their SOAP endpoints.
Regarding SharePoint-integrated mode, the tool currently supports only Native mode report servers (as Microsoft has deprecated SharePoint integration). If anyone still runs reports in SharePoint mode, they’d first need to move them to a Native mode server before using the wizard.
Hope that helps clarify!
