Jobs with Status "Performing Completion Actions"

  Hi!

  The system on which the SQL Server 97 is hosted, was restarted as a part of the cold backup strategy. After the SQL server came up, some of the jobs were having the status "performing completion actions" and remained like that till the system was rebooted again.

  Any ideas as to why did this happen? and how we can avoid this?

  "SQL Server 97" ???

  How about running QA with the following:

   

  select @@version
