Still not believing it was that simple, I clicked Execute and got an error message stating that it couldn't find the stored procedure ISNULL. WTF There is a catch, but what is it!My guess: you had just the ISNULL part of the command selected
That was it. Any other partial selection generates a Syntax error, but just ISNULL selected gives
Msg 2812, Level 16, State 62, Line 1
Could not find stored procedure 'isnull'.
Something I'll be more careful of in the future.

yes, a tad over 10% wrong answers seems excessive for something as straightforward as this.

Even though I knew the answer without thinking about it, I made sure I thought about it, if you see what I mean. Sometimes, making you check up on what you think you know might be all a QoD needs to do.
