How do you edit an embedded image in SSRS 2012?

  • I am building a report from an existing report that contains an embedded image. I need to edit the image to change parts of it (company logo). in Report Designer in VS 2012 I can't see how/where to do that.

    How do you edit embedded images?

  • Would it not be simpler to create a new image, edit it and then embed that? If you do it that way you can change it more quickly if you need to do it repeatedly.


    On two occasions I have been asked, "Pray, Mr. Babbage, if you put into the machine wrong figures, will the right answers come out?" ... I am not able rightly to apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a question.

  • That would work if I could export the embedded image to a file I can work with. How do you export an embedded image from SSRS to a file?

  • Annoyingly, I've done something like this recently but I've a horrible feeling I had a copy of the logo from elsewhere that I edited and then added to SSRS. Is that an option?

  • Have look at this link . Down at the bottom there's a very simple way of extracting the image from the report.
