Help please: User Input

    This is what I would like to do. I would like to get the user to input the account number and run a query based on that number. Is it possible to do it and if yes how?

    I'm using SQL 2005 Developer and I trying to write it in Server Management Studio

    Here is the code:

    SELECT Account, '$' + CONVERT (VARCHAR(20), Balance, 1) AS Balance

    FROM Chart_of_Accounts

    --WHERE Account = $Account
