Help Needed

    I just ran into this myself with a new server, you have to manually configure the DTC service.  Even though it is running, it won't do anything until you slap it around.

    I also haven't had any luck with linked servers using Windows authentication on WS2003 servers.  I found Microsoft articles on obscure security settings to allow delegation of something or other, but our network admin wouldn't allow fiddling with security settings so I gave up and just use SQL authentication.  If someone has a simple explanation of how to set this up (that will convince an uptight net admin), I'd love to see it.
