function to convert Base 32 to Base 10

  Hello, I am hoping somebody can help.

  I need to be able to first convert a large BASE 10 number to BASE 32 and then reverse it later in the process

  I can find functions that convert BASE 10 to other BASES but not the others to BASE 10.

  The tricky part converting these functions is the input is always int or numeric where as a BASE 32 number could be alpha numeric so the maths part doesn't work.

  To save me a lot of time and reinventing the wheel would anybody know of a place to find a function in SQL2000 that will convert a BASE 32 number to BASE 10?
