Filtering/ searching in forum topics?

  • Hi, guys!

May be I'm missing something - but is there some more in detail search or filter mechanism for forum topics besides the general SCC search feature?

    Kind regards! Sebastian

  • That's it to my knowledge.

  • Hey,

i miss a filter function at the scripts tab.

I want to filter all scripts after the date of creation. Could you Please add this function?

    Kind regards!

  • Meaning enter a date and only see scripts that were created after that date? What about updates to scripts?

  • The date was an example, i want to Filter how much fews has a script.

The most fews are on the top and the least one are on the botton.

  • I'm not sure what you mean by "how much fews has a script"

  • I want to Filter   this

  • Ah, so filter by some amount of reads. Not sure how easy this is, but we might be able to sort by this. Filtering is definitely more work.

Yes... use your favorite search engine with "sqlservercentral" as part of your search.

  • oh ok, could you sort the scripts after amount of reads?

  • Or Could you send me a table of the most reads?

The Name of the Scripts and the Number of reads are completely sufficient

  • I can't make this change immediately, nor do I have access to get this data easily. I can submit a ticket, but I'm not sure what the purpos here is or if this is just your own curiosity.

  • IMHO, "Most Reads" doesn't tell you anything other than a title possibly having a great amount of SEO.  People could be opening an article and getting one sentence in and go "nope... not what I was looking for" and leave immediately.  That means that the number of reads can have absolutely nothing to do with how effective or valuable an article or script may be or not.
