Database Mirroring (or lack there of)

    Can I get peoples thoughts on the fact that Database Mirroring will not be enabled or supported by the RTM of SQL 2005. Aparantly you can enable it with a trace flag but microsoft will not support this feature. I'm curious if this will delay anyones plans on upgrading? Also, how excited was everyone for database mirroring?

    It will not affect our plans. This feature, as with most in 2K5, are 'nice to have' but not 'essential' for our operations. Granted when we have our DR site fully functional 'mirroring' will not be used since we will be utilizing SAN replication instead. Now for smaller shops this feature may play a greater role.
