    As you are new to SSC, may I please suggest that you read the first article I reference below in my signature block regarding asking for assistance. Flow the instructions in that article and provide us with the CREATE TABLE statements for the tables involved in the query you are writing, INSERT INTO statements with sample data for each of the tables (be sure the sample data covers any special circumstances that need to be addressed, and doesn't need to be "real" data), and (not mentioned in the article) expected results (not what you are getting )of the query based on the sample data.

    If you do this, many people will jump in to assist. As a bonus, you will get tested code in return.

    Hi,

    Thanks for replying. I will try and post something more meaningful in a moment. What if I posted the full script generated by SQL Server or is that going to include too much uneccessary code for someone to read through.

    I'm going to go with the standard consultant answer, it depends. At this point, just cut it down to the actual CREATE TABLE statements.
