Hi,i'm using sql server 7 (desktop edition)on windows me and windows-98 m/c.using enterprise manager i want to connect this two servers,i'm getting general network error ,stating connection already open,anybody help me pls.

The server is registered? Shows as started? If you try to start a service that is already running you'll get an error.

Can you connect with Query Analyzer?
right click the registration in Enterprise Manager and select "connect".
what happens? Pls post exact errors.
