connection between two servers

    I wrote an application that will transfer data selected by the user data between two servers. I haven't found any information that would show me how establish a connection between two servers. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    You can look up "linked servers, adding" in the books online for all the info you need.

    I have used "linked servers" to transfer data between two databases.I did not know that it also works with two different servers.

    They don't even have to be SQL Servers!
