Can linked servers get to vsam data

    HI. We are an ibm shop still running on the mainframe and wanted to know if i can set up a linked server on sql 2000 to get to vsam data on the mainframe. is this an off the wall question???

    I have not tried this but almost any data source that has at least an ODBC driver can be reached thru linked server. I seem to recall VSAM being done by someone before in a forum group but cannot rememebr if was here and cannot find it.
