Briefcase Missing Old Functionality

  • I haven't tried to save anything to my briefcase since the website rebuild. I was looking at a post and it had some code I didn't want to lose track of so I saved it to my briefcase. I was waiting for the popup with the title and tags to save and it did nothing. No prompts like the old functionality. No indication that it actually saved anything. I looked in my briefcase and searched for the title of the forum post and could not find it. If I went back to the post the button finally changed from save to briefcase to remove from briefcase, but I certainly can't seem to find it. Is this the new functionality for the briefcase (I hope not)?

Search also didn't have an option to search just my briefcase. I had to search the web page using the browser (Chrome) find dialog.

    Thanks,

    -Tom

  • I know it doesn't help but the new site killed everything that I had in my old brief case.  I've given up saving anything I want to keep.

  • Well, lookie there... I've not checked my briefcase since I first discovered that everything was missing.  It would appear that they fixed it somewhere along the lines.  I agree that it does appear to be missing some of the functionality that the old briefcase had, though.

  • Well... it's partially there.  Lot's of posts I'd saved are missing from my briefcase so still not trusting it anymore.

  • I can add things to my briefcase (articles, posts, etc.) and they stay, but a test account has some issue. There is a flash when I refresh the briefcase and I see the post briefly, but then its gone. My guess is some visual style sheet is removing it from the page.

    Bug filed.
