Hi ALL,
We are planning to migrate our database from sql server 2012 (On-Prem) to RDS - MSQ server 2017/2019.
As i went through the AWS documents , i found that extended stored procedures are not supported . I know that xp_cmdshell is not supported in RDS-MS sql server .
So there are two other extended stored procedures sp_execute and sp_executesql . I want your help to understand if they will work in RDS - MSQ server 2017/2019.
Please also let me know the workaround for it ,if they will not work in RDS.
Thanks & Regards
Arvind Patil

I don't know about those stored procedures and can't help there.
Of a much larger concern, suppose you want to restore just one database? Go check the documentation on that. IIRC (meaning that I could be wrong and you need to go look that u) my understanding is that you can only restore the entire instance in RDS and not separate databases.
