Am I being too rude here? No. That's about how I'm reacting lately to questions so simple that they could be answered by testing in less time than it takes to load up SSC and post a question.
On top of that, a lot of these questions that would answered much faster if the OP simply Googled the keywords in the question.

Gail,
what happened to the new years resolution to spend less time on the forums because of workload?
Still top 5 in January with over 700 posts?
Tsk, tsk. 🙂

Haven't had much real work in the last month. That count will start dropping in the next couple weeks.

If you feel to have a look at a thread named
VERY UNIQUE PROBLEM: Updating Table with XML Data in SQL 2005
Updating Table with Column Type of XML with data
You might want to do it before you go to breakfast/dinner/lunch...
There are almost 30.000 (30k!!!!!) rows of xml "sample data" included!!!
I already left the OP a note to remove those huge sample data and reported that thread not only because of the sample size...

I tried to open it a couple of times, and each time, I had to close and restart my browser.

Just take a break or a long, long walk. It may take as long as ten minutes. 😉

Maybe if we fly around the world really fast we can turn back time. :w00t::w00t:
I wouldn't mind regaining a couple of months.
