Anyone interested in reading a short blog post? I'm a little nervous about putting this one up. I'm talking about how heaps are stored and I've made mistakes there in the past. And while we're on the subject, can I let people read a link on WordPress that hasn't been published?
If not, I'll have to send you the post.
Post the link... we'll let you know if it works or not! 😉
I'd preview it for you, but I wouldn't know if I'd spot something that wrong. That's one of the areas I need to build up myself, so I'm looking forward to reading your blog!

Canada's the backawards neighbour? I think someone got it backwards. 😎Hey, don't shoot the messenger 😀
(I even don't live in the USA)
Don't worry. I'm Canadian. I wouldn't shoot anybody. 🙂
You live in the South. Aren't you required to own a gun and shoot furriners on sight?
No, I'm in the south but my heart is still way up to the northeast.
Is it snowed in?

Can't say since I'm not there, but snow was expected to start this morning.

I'm game. Let me know if you can see this. Probably won't work.

Nope can't see it. I'd be happy to look at it, although I'm certainly not an expert on that, although I have started the MCM video on Data Structures (true) and I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night! (not true):-D

I get a "not there" error. I can take a look at the post if you want to e-mail it to me. Won't get it till very late tonight if you do, but if that works for you, I can definitely take a look.

I'm working from home today so if you want, I can do a review. I'm not perfect in regards to the mechanics of MSSQL but I can proof-read and at least give a second set of eyes.

When do you want it back?
If Monday's OK, toss it over, I'll read through and reference Paul's blog, internals text and memory.

You're not there but your heart is?
If I remember rightly, the late Luis María Aguilera Picca suggested that such separation endowed immortality - his words were something like "Nunca podré morirme, mi corazón no lo tengo aquí". God knows what that would be in Canadian French, but "Jamais je ne pourrai mourir, mon coeur je ne le tiens ici" is near in the French I learnt when young (je parle comme ça, not in any effete Northern accent where those 'e's are silent). Anyway, I'm surprised to lean that French Canadians (as opposed to the Gaels of Cape Breton) can aspire to immortality (provided of course that they leave Canada) - clearly the wrong Canadian minority is being favoured here! 😀 (It doesn't work for the Gaels because when they leave Canada they come to an t'eilean fhada *, which is where their hearts moved to when they heard all the sories from their grandparents)
* what Outer Hebrideans call the Outer Hebrides (ambiguous staement, since its Luchd na Beurla ** who call it the Outer Hebrides it should be clear which meaning is intended).
** Luchd na Beurla = the majority of subscribers to this site (anglophones).
I wonder is the thread has a rule against rambling like this; if so, maybe I'm doomed.

I bet you didn't know that I'm actually from Cape Breton.

I love that the comment starts out with "the late..." and is about how to achieve immortality. 🙂
