SQLServerCentral Editorial

The Spring Semester

,

Hopefully all of you are aware that the development of your career is up to you. Building skills and learning more is your responsibility, and your responsibility alone. Your employer may or may not assist you, but that doesn't take any responsibility away from you.

There are many great resources out on the Internet, and I hope that you take advantage of what we offer here at Database Weekly and  SQLServerCentral. However there are other resources, and one of the most impressive ones I've seen is from Jorge Segarra (blog | @SQLChicken), the founder of SQL University (

(you can follow along at @sqluniversity).

This is a great community projects that I think is amazing. Jorge has managed to get a tremendous number of SQL Server experts to each lead a week of training this spring. Each person writes 2 or 3 blog posts that focus on a particular technology related to SQL Server and can help you focus on improving your skills in different areas.  It's amazing how many people Jorge has signed up to help you work on your SQL Server skills.

So take advantage of the knowledge being organized for you, and check out the schedule for this spring.
