Thom's first article discusses the difficulties you encounter when your database doesn't support cascading deletes (or you've opted not to use it) and you need to delete data in a child table based upon a value in the parent table. I have a database, DNRTest, that has a number of tables and other objects in it. The other day, I was trying to mock up a test and ran this code on the same server:
