The Best of SQL Server Central

Over the past year SQL Server Central has released over 100 articles of original, exciting material that has helped thousands of DBAs, developers, and administrators work with SQL Server. We haven't always been perfect, and you've let us know with your comments and discussions what you've liked and disliked.

Since we're DBAs just like you, we've found the articles and discussions to be extremely helpful to us in our daily work. They help us to solve problems and they spark new ideas with the staff at SQL Server Central, just as we know they do with you members. This is valuable stuff to us and we'd like to make it available offline, in a printed form to everyone.

SQL Server Central would like to bundle the best articles of 2002, along with the extremely valuable comments and discussions contributed by the community into a printed book. We'd like to offer this for sale for around $15 + shipping to our members.

Why buy something you can get for free?

Well, we aren't looking for donations. though we'll gladly accept any that you have. However, like us, we know that most of you prefer having something in your hands that you can take home, keep by your desk, take on a plane, and use as a reference when you've got something more important on your screen.

We're indexing and organizing the articles into sections that will make it easy for you to find it. We've got:

  • Over 40 articles on administering SQL Server
  • 25+ programming articles (16 articles on Transact-SQL alone!!)
  • 14 articles on Performance Tuning and Indexing
  • More than 11 articles on Backup and Recovery
  • Plus articles on the business side of managing your backoffice and growing your career.

We're a part of this community just as you are and we'd like to know if you are interested. Or if this is a good idea? Or if we've been working too many late nights, drinking too much Coke, and getting irradiated by our monitors. Let us know what you think.

Thanks again for a great 2002.

And would you buy this book?
