GOOD MORNING GRANT!!!!

I recently saw an article about "Self-made men" and it expresses exactly the way I feel. To summarize, I'm definitely not "self-made". I'm where I'm at because of people in this wonderful SQL Community like you. We've bounced so many ideas off of each other and shared a huge number of techniques. I still keep my electronic copy of your fine and ongoing book about execution plans and I read and enjoy your posts (especially the ones on SQL Server Central) when ever I can.

You might not know it but there are thousands of "lurkers" that never come out and say "Thanks Grant" but I'm here to tell you they're there and they (we... I include myself there) would be a whole lot more ignorant without the effort you make to help people every bloody day.

My hat's off to you and, being the humble person you are, you have no idea for what you've done for me both directly or indirectly both as a professional and as a fellow human.

Thank you for those posts Grant. It helps to try and reset your view when there's so much going on that can drain us emotionally right now. I'm not all that successful at it at times but the reminders do definitely help. Again, thank you. You're someone I've had the honor to know for a long time now and learned so much from. I can't possibly say thank you enough.
