  • I really appreciate this post.  I feel the same way.  I always do best when seeing concrete examples or better yet doing something new myself with guidance to help me along.  In addition, I'm usually so heads down with work, I often can't keep up with the latest buzzword soup.  Thanks for putting your thoughts to words because I bet it will resonate with lots of people out there.

  • This is a post I really associate with, since our small company was swallowed up by corporates. Unfortunately no corporate town hall or presentation is permitted to be free from jargon or explained in such a way that you can make sense of it. The corporate smokescreen must obscure everything! Especially that most of the executive have no clue what's going on.

As a result, I truly hate jargon with every fibre of my being and just snipe to trusted colleaues on IM when obliged to watch this total bollix.

Just load this and weave the results into the conversation! I find it amusing when people start to agree with you.

  • Outstanding! Totally loved this!!!

  • THIS!!! (from the article)...

Plain language isn’t a lack of sophistication; it’s a sign of mastery.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.
