How strictly is 'purge' defined? If I can take a hex editor, read the disk raw and find the data there is it a violation?

The DB was patched from SP1, not RTM. I won't deploy RTM for production.

We've never had a data loss with our SAN, we have had disks failed and replaced, but that's never resulted in downtime. Our previous NAS box died bigtime, but...
