If you only need this once a day, why not simply restore a backup to the reporting server. You should be able to automate this using SQL Server...

DBCC OPENTRAN

Trans Replicated Transaction Information:

Oldest distributed LSN : (0:0:0)

I have ran those queries and the results come up blank I have read the article prior to my post and had already tried that query
