A moment of silence, please.
I heard from his family and Mike Vessey, https://www.sqlservercentral.com/author/mvdba, passed away on 25 Jun 2020. I was pleased to meet Mike and host him...

Another tip for future posts – for improved readability, please use code blocks when posting code:
CREATE PROCEDURE uspReturnEmployees @departmentName VARCHAR(50) = NULL
AS
SET NOCOUNT ON;
SELECT employeeNo

Bad habits to kick : declaring VARCHAR without (length). The varchar'sales' is never going to fit in a varchar(1); it's 4 characters too long.
Also, don't use ISNULL(@DepartmentName,'') = '',...

Sounds like you have a "catch-all" query, so NULL returns all rows, and the parameter you're passing doesn't have a =operator against the column you think it does.

Unless I recall incorrectly, it's been a long time, wasn't the BIDS installation on the SQL Server 2008 installation disc? If not, you might be able to find it in...

SSDT doesn't support SQL Server 2008, you have to use BIDS, which pre-dates SSDT. The deployment methods are also quite different, as there's no support for SSISDB. Considering that SQL...

I do "love" a cross post.
Like I mentioned before, SSIS isn't likely to be your bottleneck here; either the INSERT or SELECT are, or the bandwidth between the two...

Redeploying the project doesn't clear the logs, no (or at least not by default. I just checked a project I had made a deployment on this morning, and the logs...

Think you have more than one doubt in SSIS, as you had one doubt the other day here. 😉
I can't say I've ever tried to rename a project in...

As Palandri mentions, I suspect that (at least) one of the rows doesn't have enough columns or too many. As a result the import fails as the CRLF isn't found...

I suspect you want SWITCHOFFSET. For example, at the time of writing, SELECT SWITCHOFFSET(GETUTCDATE(),'-05:00'); returns 2020-06-08 04:23:38.100 -05:00.
If you are using this in a WHERE you are better off...

A quick note, the clause pbRecordId NOT IN (SELECT DISTINCT pbRecordId FROM staging.sfSurveillanceRecordHeaderUpdated) doesn't need that (possibly expensive) DISTINCT. both 1 NOT IN (1,2,3,4,1,1,2,4) and 1 NOT IN (1,2,3,4) are...

sorry,now?
Nope, the report will clearly show if there's an attachement when you're sending it:
Perhaps you'll be better off using Paste the...
