  • RE: Join with SQL View taking more time in SQL 2016

    Thought I recognised this: Rather than posting the same question on a different site, why not answer the comments you received on Stack Overflow? https://stackoverflow.com/questions/47992325/join-with-sql-view-taking-more-time-in-sql-2016

  • RE: Explain the execution of a cte

  • RE: what is the Synonyms of SQL Server 2012 ?

    As HappyGeek said, the syntax hasn't changed. It's still:
    CREATE SYNONYM [dbo].[YourSynonym] FOR [Server].[Database].[Schema].[Object];

  • RE: Why Haven’t You Upgraded SQL Server?

    Money is the main reason here. We're still running 2008 (not R2) on one environment, while 2012 on the other. I'm not going to lie when I say that I...

  • RE: SSRS Shared data set filters

    You can apply filters to Tablixes and Matrices as well. If you can't, for whatever reason, filter your dataset filter on the object.

  • RE: Combine 3 SQL queries

    Like the others said, if a different scenario is providing a "wrong" result, or error message, we need to know what the "wrong" result is and why, or what the...

  • RE: Group by with min and max dates

    No, this doesn't make sense. The 2nd entry in your expected result set states Late 12/11/2012, however, in your first dataset it's morning on 12/11/2017. Can you provide a full...

  • RE: Group by with min and max dates

    Why is the 2nd and 3rd entries for Graham Late? I would have expected these to be Morning and Afternoon respectively.

  • RE: Want to know what process revert a change of a value in a column

    The column's value won't revert on its own, which either means someone is performing a restore on the database (which would revert everything) or someone or something is running an...

    Out of interest, why are you using a OVER clause, rather than a GROUP BY?
