We'll look to do that. We had anoymous users disabled for some time, but I think they're allowed back right now.

That's actually a good idea. There is the opportunity to "rate" the thread, but the ability of the OP to mark it would be nice.

This is definitily lower on the list. Not sure if where we'll add this. The main home page lists everyone online. Each forum shows people in that forum.

It's a tagging problem. If you open a tag in the forums, then we have to remove that tag for the newsletter. It requires a little parsing, isn't terribly tricky,...
