Install SP3 last week into my Prod env.

Had no issues with the install or the P2P setup I have.

I would recommend running it through stage/qa 1st.

You said when you ran the query it wasnt slow? Who/what else ran the specific query (WinUI/Web app???)?

Did you run it @ the same time of day?

You can log certain commands on the IIS server. This doesnt give you the SQL commands but verbose information on the connection via the web server.

Above the Office 12 connection there is one specifically for Excel. I use this one and it works very well.

You should also have an option once your in the wizard...

Sort this one.

You have to manually add the "source field" with the required expression and then change the "VariationOf" to the field it is a calculation of.
