    You can look into implementing Ola Hallengren's maintenance solution (https://ola.hallengren.com/) - it works beautifully.

    Thanks for the post. I agree with you as I have run into this exact scenario numerous times.

    One caveat though to keep in mind:

    The commented out ROLLBACK / COMMIT sections...
