There is no selection of SSIS SSAS when I am running the change just now... where are they?
Can I just install SSAS SSIS engines??

I m using Vista Home Prem, understood SSRS wont work on my PC. But at least SSAS ans SSIS should work!!
BUT I can not even find the engines from drop...

I didn't install anything else than the original SQL 2005 Standard CD.
When it asked me which component I wished to install, I selected RS AS IS and all sample databases...

No, I am using Standard Ed SQL 2005. All BI components are fully selected while installing.
I know it sounds really odd... any idea??

No.. Vista Home Prem doesn't support SSAS nor SSIS.
Both service instances are missing.
When I open Mgmt Studio, Connect -> SSAS -> there is nothing to be connected to ...

"Server Type" drop down list shows all the services names.
But "Server Name" drop down list only shows "Database Engine" is available.

I have been playing around with SQL 2005 for a while, but not so its SSAS IS RS components.

With no intention to change my OS by now, I'd better install SQL 2008 instead.
Isn't it silly that Microsoft's infamous vista doesn't support SQL 2005 BI components!!

do you think it is a good idea to totall un-install SQL 2005 and intall SQL 2008 instead??
I am happy to do that if it can solve the IIS7...

I am not 100% sure I have install SQL 2005 - BI component properly.
Let us assume it's not.
Can you please list things I need to re-install? only IIS-7 needed...
