I need to propose a 2 server clustering / failover solution with SQL 2012 and it seems that the log shipping feature...

if you're getting a timeout sounds like either a firewall or issue in the networking stack. Is the cluster validation report completely clean?

Can any one help me with steps and methods for automating the sql server cluster installation with out using the GUI. Can we have a config file or scripts...

its perfectly valid to have instances with different patch levels, this is one of the main reasons why you would ring fence a particular apps database to a separate instance

you may have a windows server failover cluster that employs physical and virtual nodes

Hi allWe are looking at implementing AlwaysOn AG combined with a Failover Clustered Instance of SQL Server.
First question is why?
You're taking the decision to implement an AlwaysOn group...

then when connection is on secondary there are no locks.
be aware that when you enable a read only secondary in an AlwaysOn group, all isolation levels are automatically...

sounds like its been uninstalled, what do you see in sql server configuration manager on the node itself
