    Perry - To confirm, from what you are saying converting two standalone SQL servers to clustered environment is not an option since Cluster was not set at windows level...

    I know this is an older post, but I want to ask about what if I setup a primary cluster, then add the two nodes to the cluster?...

    but Alwayson comes into play if you have a limited budget for hardware (no san).

    If you have a limited budget and cant afford SAN then you'll likely not...

    • new shared disks

    This really isn't a DPM specific matter, but more so my lack of understanding of how copy_only truly works.

    I've verified that DPM inherits an availability group's backup...
