a geographically dispersed cluster is one whose nodes are on separate physical geographical regions, it has nothing to do with the storage.

it depends on how the LUNs and storage back end are setup. The LUNs may use separate cache which can be beneficial but for the most part it won't make...

you can install extra clustered instances onto the existing cluster, whether or not the hardware can support the new resources will need to be closely looked at.

what security context does the linked server use, sql or windows authentication.
It sounds very much like windows auth with an SPN issue

You can also look at the preferred owner list list of the cluster resource group. You can modify the order of this list.
That doesn't guarantee which node...

a multi site alwayson availability group sits on top of a multi site (or geographically dispersed) cluster, so your question is not clear

each named instance will require a Client Access Point, which contains a unique network name and IP Address
