I figured it out. I had to return an array of strings....like this
public static List<string> GetParameterValues(string sList, string sParameterName)
...

By default you will get tables, but after you export it to Word you can use the "Convert to Text" function in Word to get just text.

Usually data sources are kept in the Data Sources directory. When you say that you can run it fine, do you mean from Visual Studio on your development machine?...
