SQL Server failed with error code 0xc0000000 to spawn a thread to process a new login or connection.
I have seen that error when other processes consume lots of memory...

Erm ... If the process is blocked it can not do anything ... putting code in the blocked procs would not work.

But may I ask why you are concerned that a guid be sequential?
guids are "replication friendly", identity integers are not.
